liquid clog removers

Swell Guy Plumbing Co does not recommend using liquid clog removers.

What About Liquid Clog Removers?

The advertisements say they’re a fast and effective way to clear any clog. But what’s the truth about liquid clog removers?

Swell Guy Plumbing Co never uses liquid clog removers nor do we recommend that anyone else use them.

Our experience has shown us that liquid clog removers often fail to work and actually make the situation worse.

First, Liquid Clog Removers Are Bad For Your Plumbing.

Any chemical drain cleaner can damage your plumbing fixtures and pipes. This is especially true if the product sits in your fixture or drain and doesn’t break the clog free. We’ve seen stainless sinks turned black permanently, holes eaten into garbage disposals, holes eaten into sink drains, toilets permanantly stained, and holes eaten into pipes (inside walls, in crawlspaces, below slabs).

The cost to repair this damage can make a plumber’s drain clearing price seem like a dollar store bargain.

Second, Liquid Clog Removers Are Bad For Your Health.

Liquid clog removers are dangerous chemicals, so if you choose to use them please follow the instructions carefully.

Our skin is no match for a strong chemical. The chemicals in liquid clog removers can cause severe burns if they contact your skin.

We only have two eyes and the chemicals in liquid clog removers can damage them. Not only are the vapors harmful but these chemicals can slpash into your eyes.

Our lungs are very important because we all have to breathe. Liquid clog removers produce harmful fumes that when inhaled can cause lung damage.

At Swell Guy Plumbing Co, we value our health and yours, so we will never use liquid clog removers.

What's Our Recommendation For Clogs?

Swell Guy Plumbing Co does not recommend liquid clog removers. We recommend using a drain snake to remove the clog.

If you used a liquid clog remover and it failed, please let your plumber know what you put into your drains so they can take the proper safety precautions to protect their health.

At Swell Guy Plumbing Co, we value our health and our equipment. So if you tried a chemical drain cleaner and it failed, you can expect to pay additional charges for us to get your drain unclogged because we have to take extra time and precautions to protect ourselves from these hazardous chemicals.

So again, our advice is to use a drain snake or call a plumber to get your drain flowing again.
