What's our story?
First, in case you’re wondering, our name has nothing to do with a surfing plumber. So we don’t recommend asking us for surfing advice.
The name Swell Guy refers to psoriatic arthritis. After months of uncontrolled and unexplained joint swelling, my wife started calling me “swell guy” and the name stuck. The pufferfish in our logo symbolizes my “nemesis spirit animal”. But thanks to an awesome rheumotologist and modern medicine, I’m feeling better than ever and I’m able to continue doing the work I’ve always loved to do.
My name is Steven Dyson. I’m the owner and a licensed plumber at Swell Guy Plumbing Co. I’m a lifelong Lowcountry resident, Citadel graduate, Army veteran, husband, dad, and full time licensed plumber since 1997.
Hopefully, after you use our services, you’ll say, “My plumber is a swell guy.” But that’s for you to decide.
