Frequently Asked Questions
No one likes a freezing shower. That’s why we fast-track your water heater replacement, aiming to get your hot water back up and running same-day or next-day.
Standard tank water heaters come with a manufacturer’s warranty: usually 5-6 years on the tank, 1–5 years on parts, and 1 year of labor covered by us.
When that first year of labor coverage wraps up, we’ll cut your labor costs in half (50% off) for the rest of your warranty period. To qualify, use Swell Guy Plumbing for your annual water heater maintenance, and we’ll keep your system running smoothly and your discounts rolling.
**Applies to water heaters provided and installed by Swell Guy Plumbing.
To ensure you receive the highest quality performance and full warranty protection, Swell Guy Plumbing exclusively installs our own tank style water heaters (State & AO Smith) and tankless water heaters (Navien & Rinnai). We are unable to install customer-supplied units, as we cannot guarantee or stand behind their warranties.
At Swell Guy Plumbing, we do not install or service electric tankless water heaters. In our experience with Lowcountry homes, electric tankless models often fall short on performance and require major electrical panel upgrades—often needing 3 to 4 dedicated 40-amp breakers—making them cost-prohibitive to run efficiently.
Instead, we specialize in high-efficiency Gas Tankless Water Heaters (which offer superior hot water output and lower operating costs) as well as traditional electric tank units and hybrid heat pump water heaters. Contact us to find the best water heating solution for your home!
