Is the tub waste and overflow drain included in a tub valve replacement?

No, the tub drain and overflow assembly are not included in a standard tub valve replacement.

These are two entirely separate parts of your plumbing system. Replaced from behind the wall, the shower valve controls your water flow and temperature. The tub drain, however, requires access underneath or inside the tub itself and often requires two technicians to properly align and seal. Because they require different access points and labor, they are priced as separate services.
