Hello Hanahan
Get to know Swell Guy Plumbing
Meet Steven Dyson: Owner & Licensed Plumber
I was born & raised in Hanahan. I know this town, its homes, and its plumbing inside and out. When you call Swell Guy Plumbing, you’re not getting a nameless big-box franchise—you’re getting a neighbor who grew up down the street and knows how to keep Lowcountry pipes flowing smooth.

The Story Behind the Name
You might assume "Swell Guy" just means a friendly plumber—and while I aim to be one, the name actually has a deeper story. In 2023, I was diagnosed with spondyloarthritis, an auto-immune condition causing severe joint swelling (hence the pufferfish in our logo). Doctors thought I might have to hang up my wrench for good. But thanks to modern medicine and a drive to keep moving, I’m right back doing the work I’ve loved for nearly three decades.

Next time you need a trusted Hanahan plumber, give Swell Guy Plumbing a call. My goal is simple: after the job is done, I want you to say, “My plumber is a Swell Guy!”
